In my opinion, Valentine’s Day is a strategic plan of popular culture and marketing network. It is a race where couples have to buy each other gifts, and everyone is fighting to get the most eye-catching gift. I think it is very sad that people are so anxious and excited about a date that does not mean anything to the relationship. I have never bought my partner a gift on Valentine’s Day before and I prevented him from buying me one

. Even a flower I receive from my partner on a random day means more to me than a solitaire ring I would buy on Valentine’s Day. In my opinion, the most special day in a relationship can be a day that the couple attaches meaning to, shares something together, and brings them closer together. This can be the day they met or experienced a turning point. A universal celebration day like Valentine’s Day can also be special, but I think that days filled with personal moments and memories have deeper meanings. Valentine’s Day seems to be a celebration based on social expectations; however, the most special day in a relationship is the moment that leaves the most mark on the couple’s heart. I think that this day, where brands from every sector organize campaigns and deceive people with flashy posters, is in a way a ritual imposed from outside. Couples often act under the influence of emotional expectations and social norms on Valentine’s Day. However, this may not be a day that reflects the most precious moments of love and relationships. The most special day in a relationship is the day filled with meaningful moments that leave a mark on the couple’s own story. For example, the moment they first met, the first date, the moment a crisis was overcome and the relationship became stronger, or something they achieved together. These days reflect the depth of the bond between two people, regardless of external expectations. Every relationship is unique, and the most special day is shaped by the couple’s own values, memories, and sharing. Perhaps a moment shared while walking together in the morning can be so valuable that it will be remembered for a lifetime. That day is neither Valentine’s Day nor any other celebration day, but the warmth, naturalness, and sincerity of that moment are more special than anything else. Therefore, I think the most special day in a relationship lies in the ability to make an ordinary day special together.

Bence sevgililer günü popüler kültürün ve pazarlama ağının stratejik bir planıdır. Çiftlerin birbirine hediye almak zorunda olduğu, herkesin en dikkat çekici hediyeyi almak için mücadele ettiği bir yarıştır. İlişki için herhangi bir anlam ifade etmeyen bir tarih için insanların bu kadar telaşlı ve heyecanlı olması bence çok üzücü. Daha önce hiçbir sevgililer gününde partnerime bir hediye almadım ve onun da bana almasına engel oldum. Rastgele bir günde partnerimden aldığım bir çiçek bile bana sevgililer gününde alacağım tektaş yüzükten daha anlamlı geliyor.  Bana göre, bir ilişkideki en özel gün, çiftin anlam yüklediği, birlikte bir şeyler paylaştığı ve onları birbirine yakınlaştıran bir gün olabilir. Bu, tanıştıkları veya bir dönüm noktası yaşadıkları gün olabilir. Sevgililer Günü gibi evrensel bir kutlama günü de özel olabilir, ancak kişisel anlar ve anılarla dolu günlerin daha derin anlamları olduğunu düşünüyorum. Sevgililer Günü daha çok toplumsal beklentilere dayalı bir kutlama gibi görünüyor; ancak bir ilişkideki en özel gün, çiftin kalbinde en çok iz bırakan andır. Bir ilişkideki en özel gün, çiftin kendi hikayesinde iz bırakan anlamlı anlarla dolu gündür.
